Education

As the Detention Center is physically located within the boundaries of Tangipahoa Parish, the Tangipahoa Parish School System (TPSS) provides educational services within the detention programming. Teachers employed by the school system are assigned to the TPSS / Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center Site. Herein, students rotate classes much like they do in regular school, and are taught in core subject areas. Classes are also held throughout the summer months, providing additional instruction and remediation.
