Cynthia Brown, RN, MSN, FNP
Director of Health Services
Cynthia Brown is a dedicated Registered Nurse with 28 years of diverse nursing experience in acute, primary and tertiary healthcare settings. She has an extensive background that includes roles as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Manager and Nurse Professor. Her clinical background spans medical-surgical nursing and labor delivery postpartum nursing where she demonstrated a strong commitment to direct patient care and patient advocacy.
Currently, she serves as Director of Health Services at Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center. Passionate about continuing education and professional development, Cynthia is a lifelong learner. She is poised to return to the education sector to pursue a Doctorate in Nursing. She employs a motivational approach to build strong effective teams. Her dedication to nursing and continuing education continues to inspire those around her. ​
​Outside of her career, she enjoys traveling internationally and cherishing times with family and friends. She is an active member of her faith-based community. Her commitment to patient care and community health underscores her impactful nursing career.
