Jeanette Edmonds, Ph.D.
Director of Programs
Dr. Jeanette Edmonds was born and raised in Hammond, LA. After graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas High School, she earned both a Bachelor’s Degree (2004) and a Master’s Degree (2006) in Psychology from Southeastern Louisiana University (SELU). She continued her education at Louisiana Tech University (TECH) in Ruston, LA, where she earned an additional Master’s Degree in Counseling & Guidance (2012) and her PhD in Counseling Psychology (2015).

Dr. Edmonds has over 20 years of professional experience in the mental health field in a wide variety of treatment settings. She has experience treating children and adults for conduct and behavior disorders, trauma, addictions, mood disorders, personality trait pathology, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and more. Her present interests involve program development for both juvenile detention and long-term youth settings. Specifically, Dr. Edmonds is interested in synergistic interventions for dual-diagnosis youth and in psychotherapy’s long-term impact on youth self-efficacy and reduced recidivism.
Dr. Edmonds is presently completing an additional Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology and plans to pursue privileges as a Medical Psychologist (MP). In her spare time, Dr. Edmonds enjoys scouting new parks to explore with her son or watching documentaries about quantum theory and metaphysics.
