Jeannine Albrecht

Director of Health Services

Jeannine Albrecht graduated from Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1977, along with attending The University of New Orleans. She is licensed as a Registered Nurse by The Louisiana State Board of Nursing. She began her career at Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center on June 1, 2006 as Supervisor of the Medical Department and was named as Director of Health Services in 2016.

Jeannine was voted “Nurse of the Year” by Tenet Hospital, now Ochsner, in 1993. She had been certified as an American Heart Association CPR/First Aid Instructor since 2007 and continues to educate and recertify our staff. In 2011, she completed the Dale Carnegie Course in Effective Communication and Human Relations and received “The Outstanding Speaker Award”.

Other professional accomplishments include membership of Louisiana School Nurses Association, Louisiana Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Association, Critical Care Nurses Association, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification. Her 39 years of nursing experience includes Intensive Care Unit, Cardiology, Dialysis, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, Schools, and Juvenile Detention Nursing.

Jeannine supervises a Pediatric Clinic, operating a schedule that contains 4 full time LPNs, conducting medical assessments and treatment weekly, via our pediatrician coming from Tulane. Jeannine also assists in the coordination of a weekly dental clinic with our contracted dentist.
