Applicants must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check through the Louisiana State Police, as required by state law. Currently, we have partnered with the Tangipahoa and St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Offices to fulfil this requirement using their Live Scan System.

Tangipahoa: Monday and Wednesday, 8:00 am – 1:00 p.m.

Applicants must complete a Diana Screen. The Diana Screen is an easy to use, computer-based pre-hire/volunteer risk management screen that keeps youth safe from sexual abuse and sexual boundary violations.

The Diana Screen® helps to identify candidates who may step over a sexual boundary line with children or teens or who may present a sexual risk.

WHY DOES Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center USE The Diana Screen®?

The Diana Screen® is administered to all potential applicants and volunteers to help ensure that ethical boundaries between children and adults are maintained. At Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center, the safety and protection of the youth who have been entrusted to us is our #1 priority.

The Diana Screen® is a sexual risk screening test to protect children. It is a computerized test that takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and is administered by the Human Resources department of the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center.
